I surrender

This post is dedicated to a singular power that never failed for Jesus. The power of “I surrender”! At this moment, I move out of the way and let you have a listen at a quintessential song on “I surrender.”
Here are the lyrics to the song.
I know Lord Your plan for me is right
I need You to fulfill
Your purpose in my life
I submit to You my King
Be my everything
I'm coming to You again
Lord here I am

I surrender I surrender
Lord I surrender my life
Give it all to You
I surrender I surrender
Lord I surrender my life
Give it all to You

Humble and broken I come to You
I'm trusting and waiting
To see what You will do
Lord You know what's best
And at Your feet I find my rest
I'm coming to You again
Lord here I am

I surrender I surrender
Lord I surrender my life
Give it all to You
I surrender I surrender
Lord I surrender my life
Give it all to You

Simply listening to the song and letting God’s spirit talk will produce major teaching about relationships in singlehood or marriage life (whether you are married, engaged or single).

I know too often for our human nature, it is more likely, when life gets out of control, pain of many sorts—e.g., marriage is near divorce, living singlehood is frustrating, etc--then the topic and exercise of surrendering to God the Father becomes viable or novel. However, “I surrender” does not have to be left to random painful circumstances, before running towards or living “I surrender.” It is also dangerous (if not flat out idolatrous) to aim at increasing our life management skillset so much so that we do not have to live “I surrendered” lives to Jesus, to the Holy Spirit, and to God Our Father—because we substitute it for a earthly-bound secured life through being debt-free, or our bank account being flush, or we are making leaps and bounds in careers, or we are having the best of times. Anyway we implicitly or indirectly substitute  surrendered living and live life, getting by, or thriving in life without living freshly, daily “I surrender living” life to Jesus is idolatry, no matter how innocuous, positive, sophisticated, philanthropic, or prosperous, or etc. What does it benefit a person to gain the world and yet loose his or her soul is a statement the Bible makes, but was not stated as hyperbole or rhetorically.

Honeymoon living is actually produced by running towards “I surrender,” every day, and throughout the day. Jesus had the time of His life on earth while on earth, being busy in and enjoying God’s kingdom work. This Jesus, man of sorrow and acquainted with grief did not permit the oppositions or grief to kill the joy from doing God's will, which drove his life, nor did he permit the grief to outwit him from freshly walking by the Holy Spirit's guidance, nor did he get distracted from living out dependency on God's Spirit.

Jesus lived a kind of a honeymoon life while living life on earth, while things on earth were not-yet as fully perfect as it is in heaven. If Jesus could live with joy and keeping his priorities intact (loving with all his heart the Father God, willingly doing the Father’s will, and birthing the church), albeit amidst overt and covert attacks (spiritually diabolically instigated) against God’s truth and God’s will— then this qualifies for honeymoon living. It was good enough for him and therefore today, perfect for us Christ-followers.

As Christ-followers we get to victoriously live life on earth out of our security and assurance that our daddy God the Father is all, (He has huge shoulders to take care of us) and He is the only one we really need to depend on; contrary to firstly depending on our income stream(s), or other thing(s) that would attempt to deceive us into removing God from having first place in our heart and life. A summary of the previous statements is this: the lifestyle Jesus lived while on earth, we too can live, and Jesus was intentionally modeling to us such a lifestyle for our victorious living. Jesus showed us a continuous fellowship and dependency on God the Father that is not hyperbole or pre-Holy Spirit dispensation to Christ-followers. The way Jesus lived victoriously in power in spite of his hostile environment--and circumstances set against him--is an example to us and the same lifestyle through which believers will secure victory over the hostile circumstances against his or her household, and honeymoon living whether living married or single.

My prayer is that we be encouraged in reading about “I surrender” and not condemned if we have not been running towards “I surrender.” Today, my household is freshly running towards “I surrender,” and God did not condemn me and will not condemn any of us running towards “I surrender.”

Also, I invite you to join a journey on surrendering by joining the War Room Study Group (For Texas and Abroad, New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, London, California, etc). We are now ready to start the Global War Room Study Group! We have a few more days before we close down the sign up to this first Global War Room Study Group. You still have time to join, or invite your friend, or spouse, especially if he or she potentially has an interest in the War Room movie. Here is the link to your War Room

Yours in Christ,
Wladimir and Elyssa,

Below is a moment of surrendering our
marriage in prayer that took place at our wedding,
with our parents covering prayers

P.S. The War Room movie has moved nations because it really speaks the truth about prayer and the change warroom movie-liken prayer attentiveness is guaranteed to make in our relationships and with God, as single or married individuals. We can cash in on victory! This War Room study group will focus on that one result!
